HelloAva Review

There is a huge push for online services recently, especially those that give consumers the ability to learn more about themselves and their health. As a skincare lover, I know how important it is to see a dermatologist, but I honestly do not have the time. You have to schedule out months in advance and the appointment typically takes up so much of your day. We all have such busy lives that skincare just goes to the wayside. Let me tell you something, it should not.

Let me introduce you to the amazing online service that is HelloAva. This truly brilliant online service brings the dermatologist directly to you along with product recommendations for your main skin concerns. You simply go online and take a quiz that determines your skin type. From there, a board certified dermatologist reaches out to you and works to offer you product that are proven effective from over 80 different brands.

I got to try HelloAva and need to tell you that this service Changed. My. Life. I went and took the 12-question quiz in order to work with my own doctor. I found my skin type to be CSPT. This means combination, sensitive, pigmented, and tight. Since I know about skincare, I can tell you that this is 110% accurate. I wanted to address my current acne and help balance my skin out.

A lovely woman by the name of Nelly became my point of contact and we worked to round out my routine. I was missing a good treatment mask, SPF, eye cream, exfoliator, makeup remover, and a general treatment. We talked on and off about what I liked in products and what I did not along with what brands I was a big fan of. They carry my staples: Drunk Elephant, Indie Lee, Herbivore, and countless others. I continued to ask questions of Nelly and she had the answers. Under each product recommendation in the various categories, your own dermatologist will explain why the certain product works for you. For example, Nellys explained that the Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Toner would be great for me as it wont clog my pores, will destroy acne causing bacteria, balance the oil production of my skin, and does not have ingredients I am allergic to.

I think an important part of the services HelloAva provides is hat the dermatologists are not only trained, but that they are not brand/product loyal. When you go to a local doctor, they tend to have one or two in-house brands that they are loyal too. This is part of the reason why, sometimes, products just do not work out for you.  HelloAva gives you the chance to choose and that is quite rare these days. There is an initial $10 dollar fee, but it goes right to the product purchase. Think of it like your Co-Pay but it comes right back to you!

The products I ended up going with were the Drunk Elephant Protini Peptide Moisturizer (I am running low on mine so this was perfect), Indie Lee Squalene Oil (I love Indie Lee products and have yet to try this), and the Kate Somerville EradiKate Face Mask (suppose to be amazing for acne). They came very quickly and I will update you on my thoughts as I get more use out of the products.

Overall, I think that if you have a busy life like I do and need some skin help, HelloAva is an AMAZING service. Honestly, I think it would be great for anyone who is looking to better there skin in any capacity.

HelloAva gave me a 30% off code and free shipping with your first order you take the quiz.
